COVID-19 fever has swept the world, and we had four corona virus themed team names, two of which ended up winning our game tonight.

Another awesome turnout this week - this time to kick off the Surly Goat's 10 Year Anniversary Week. We had 16 teams competing and a couple of lead changes throughout the game. On the final round, one of the top teams forgot to double down and dropped dramatically in the standings (if they had doubled down, they still wouldn't have won, but it would have been much closer for them).
Our bartender Alexis made cookies that were delicious and also a very popular inspiration for team names this evening.
An awesome turnout for trivia tonight. We had 16 teams participating!
Round 3 was the Common Bond round and also the drinking round. We had four teams get all the questions right and double down on each for a maximum round score of 22 points. A tie breaker was held between the two teams who were first to hand in their answer sheets with the question: "What was the total number of points scored in yesterday's NBA All-Star Game?". The answer was 155 + 157 = 312. The closest guess was 166 - so the tie went to team "Quizzy McGuire".
Tonight starting at 8:30pm we will have the following rounds:
Free answer: Devil's Tower
Another week, another game. This week saw perennial team "Yung Pervs" reclaim 1st Place for the first time in several weeks.
With Valentine's Day on Friday, there was a round themed around "love" questions (containing or relating to the word "love"). Hot off the Oscars, we also had a round featuring different "Oscar"s. The picture round was a candy-identification round and there was a hybrid music/movie before & after round. You can see all the questions for this week here.
Last night was a challenging game. The first two rounds were more traditional, then rounds 3-5 were a bit... different.
Teams were leapfrogging each other in the standings after each of the various rounds, but the final round really was an "all-or-nothing" sort of scoring which helped separate the teams into the final standings.
Review the questions from this game.
Another busy night of trivia and a VERY close game. Going into the final round, less than 10 points separated all the teams. Great competition between the teams during this game.
In the end, the Season 1 champions "Yung Pervs" managed to come out with 1st Place. 2nd Place went to "CATS for Best Picture You Cowards". Come back next week and see if you can take the prize! Final Scores
Another well attended trivia night after we took a one week break while the bar was closed to get a new floor installed.
Tonight we had five rounds inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr. Day:

Awesome turnout again for trivia. If you're looking to come play next time, be sure to get here early to snag a table for your team.
It was a super competitive game and we had a very close final round with just two points separating the top four teams. Ultimately, "The Virus, the Glitch, and the Wardrobe" prevailed with 78 points, just edging out "On the Trophy". Favorite team name: "Jame Doody Jench" (just because I had to realllllly think about it every time I said it)
Tonight's trivia rounds were:
